How to Navigate EAB

Overview

A local tutoring center at a four-year college recently changed their appointment scheduling system to EAB Navigate. While a short training session to use the software was provided, there were insufficient resources to refer to and reinforce the usage. And so, I took it upon myself to create a step-by-step manual and screen recordings to act as a reference for the tutoring center staff.

Target Audience

These resources were aimed to assist professional tutoring staff, student employees, and management. Ages ranged from early 20’s to 60’s, with some staff showing some technological anxiety of switching to a new system.

Design and Development Process

To create a reference manual, I first broke down the daily tasks for staff into three categories: setting up appointments, scheduling appointments, and creating reports. From there, I recorded the process of each major task into a sequential order. To improve ease of access, and assist in overcoming the technological anxieties, links and screenshots were provided. Screenshots specifically were made to bring attention to where on the screen the user should be looking.
